Hello everyone. Welcome to Index, the latest attempt (for all of you who are counting) by the artists at Uber to use our powers for good. Index is part webzine, part blog, part source scrape, and hopefully a whole lot of interesting. Early returns have been decent, as everyone we've called to try and convince to check it out has been distracted during the call by one story or another.

The way it works is simple. We feature two main types of content: 1. The most important cultural news from around the world as determined by our crack (pot) editors and contributors (whose experience includes such real world periodicals such as WWD, LA Times, NY Observer, Arthur Magazine, URB, St. John Bosco High School Yearbook Committee, and much more) and 2. Blog posts from the fast-growing community at Uber.com. All anyone has to do is start a good blog and then submit it to our editor-in-chief who then makes a decision to feature posts from the blog with the section editor.

In addition to original editorial and journalism, we have a big list of sources we currently check out daily to find news to post. We want that list to be bigger. Let's kick off the audience participation part by asking you all kind visitors what your favorite blogs and sites are for 'index-related' subject matter. If you have it, post the RSS link, too and we can check it out even faster.

We'll kick it off-

Now tell us your favorites!

And if you know anyone with a good blog on Blogger, we can import them here, so tell them to give uber.com a spin, it's free and we think its better. Would you rather be blogging on a site run by billionaire geniuses that run the internet or by a bunch of scrappy artists!? Wait a minute, forget we asked that. Try Uber anyway -- it's more creative, we promise, and we try real hard.

- Glenn Kaino, Daniel Chamberlin, Chris Haycock, Nhat Nguyen, Rose Apodaca and the rest of the Uber Index Team.
